Kayotic, real name Kalilu (God’s Friend) was born and raised in South Central, Los Angeles. He moved to Sacramento for seven years and attended Sacramento State University where he graduated with his Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He is a former emancipated and leader for foster youth.

He got spiritually awakened in New Orleans in 2014 and has been on a spiritual journey ever since, incorporating his spiritual lessons into his music. He dropped his first EP in 2012 called GRADS (Granting Resources Amongst Diverse Students) which is a reason why he graduated from college. He has been doing music for 11 years releasing9 projects, the latest being a double disc album “The Lion King of Sierra Leone”. He obtained his Doctorate in Business Administration in 2018 specializing in Entrepreneurship.
