Kayotic, real name Kalilu (God’s Friend) was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. He moved to Sacramento for seven years, where he attended and graduated from Sacramento State University.  He was highly influenced by artists such as Mac Dre, Too Short, E-40, 2Pac, Nipsey Hussle, and The Jacka. He got awakened in New Orleans in 2014 and has been on a spiritual journey ever since, incorporating his spiritual lessons into his music.

He dropped his first EP in 2012 called GRADS (Granting Resources Amongst Diverse Students) which is a reason why he graduated from college. He has been doing music for 11 years releasing 9 projects, and his latest project “The Lion King of Sierra Leone” is a double disc album with 25 songs. He obtained his Doctorate in Business Administration in 2018 specializing in Entrepreneurship.
